With the arrival of summer and rising temperatures, we are constantly looking for ways to cool down and enjoy relaxing moments. Cocktails are becoming the stars of our evenings, offering a delicious and flavourful break.

Here is a selection of cocktail recipes that will not only refresh you, but also delight your senses and those of your guests.

Silver Fizz

A revitalising classic that combines the smoothness of gin with the freshness of lemon.

Ingredients:

  • 4cl gin
  • 4 cl lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 5 cl sugar syrup
  • Ice

Preparation:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add 3-4 ice cubes.
  2. Add the gin, lemon juice, egg white and sugar syrup.
  3. Close and shake vigorously for a couple of minutes.
  4. Serve in a glass and garnish to taste.

Red Caipirinha

A colourful and flavourful variation of the traditional caipirinha.

Ingredients:

  • 7 cl of Cachaça
  • 1 orange wedge
  • 1/2 lime
  • 3 spoonfuls of sugar
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 cl red wine

Preparation:

  1. In a glass, place the Cachaça, the orange wedge, the half lime and the sugar.
  2. Gently muddle the lime and orange.
  3. Add crushed ice and stir.
  4. Serve with a splash of red wine on top.

 

 

Cuban Mojito

The mojito is a cocktail that never goes out of fashion, perfect for any summer evening.

Ingredients:

  • White rum
  •  Siphon or sparkling water
  •  White sugar
  •  Peppermint
  •  Lime
  •  Ice

Preparation:

  1. In a tall glass, add two teaspoons of sugar and half a chopped lime.
  2. Squeeze the lime with a pestle and mortar.
  3. Add a splash of siphon, crushed mint and white rum to taste.
  4. Top up with ice, stir and garnish with mint.

Valencia Water

An elegant and refreshing cocktail, ideal for toasting on summer evenings.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh orange juice
  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Cava or champagne

Preparation:

  1. Fill a jug one third full with orange juice.
  2. Add 16% gin and 16% vodka.
  3. Top up with a third of cava or champagne.
  4. Stir gently and chill for an hour before serving.

 

 

Margarita on the Rocks

A classic cocktail that combines the sweetness of agave with the strength of tequila.

Ingredients:

  • 25 ml de Cointreau
  • 50 ml de tequila
  • 1 cucharadita de sirope de ágave
  • 25 ml de zumo de lima
  • Sal
Preparation
  1. Moisten the rim of a lowball glass with lime and salt.
  2. Shake Cointreau, tequila, agave syrup and lime juice with crushed ice in a shaker.
  3. Serve in the prepared glass.
